a new jewell

I just learned that Rachel gave birth to a baby girl on Monday. They've named her Samantha Jewell, and Heather says she's very pretty:

Samantha Jewell (two Ls!) was 8lbs and 21 inches long.  Apparenlty she's quite a long and skinny baby.  And very beautiful, not in the way that all new parents have to think thier kid is beautiful, but in an honest to goodness beautiful.  Marty is all a twitter and staying with them for the time being, helping Rachel out and all.  Rachel is very calm and excited and all maternal.  It's really cute. 

I'm so excited for the Dunnes.
